Action Level and LOQ Calculator (FAO/WHO + Canada Reference Amounts)
Practical tool to estimate the Reference Dose (RfD), Action Level and required LOQ based on FAO/WHO values and either generic consumption amounts, Table 14 P75 values, Health Canada reference amounts, or a manual amount.

Calculation notes
Calculated Action Level: AL = 1000 × RfD / consumption amount (g), expressed as mg allergen protein per kg food.
Calculated required LOQ: LOQ = calculated AL / 3.
When the consumption amount does not match an available row in the reference tables, the tool displays the calculated value and warns that no exact tabulated value is available.
Data sources: FAO/WHO food allergen risk assessment reports (for RfD, Action Level and LOQ calculations) and Health Canada, Nutrition labelling - Table of reference amounts for food (for Canadian food reference amounts). Before regulatory use or formal publication, always verify values against the current official publications.
